Activity description:  DNA, Genes, and Chromosomes activity were organized by We Speak Science in collaboration with the New York High School in Tirana, Albania.

In this activity, students were asked to present via PowerPoint presentations. Student presentations included the following topics:

  1. DNA, Genes, and Chromosomes
  2. The Role of DNA in Cells
  3. The Double Helix Structure of DNA
  4. The Semi Conservative Model of DNA
  5. The Structure of RNA
  6. The Structure of Nucleotides

Fig.1 Shown here is the helix structure of DNA by paper, hand made poster and by plasticine. Students were asked to explain the double helix structure of DNA.
